Having trained close to 300 managers from within our client base over the last 12 years, Perspective HR director Trevor Vanstone has been named as an Action Centred Leadership Ambassador.

The recognition comes from Professor John Adair, the world’s first professor of Leadership and the foremost writer and scholar on the subject. Professor Adair’s Action Centred Leadership model has been used to develop millions of leaders across business, the public sector and, of course, the military.

Adair Leadership has announced that the role of an ambassador involves:

• A network of international representatives and industry specialists who can champion Action Centred Leadership within their own networks and beyond.

• Individuals with a long-standing interest in ACL, and a track record of providing leadership training at a high level.

• ACL Ambassadors will be able to act as a point of contact for any regional enquiries and be able to identify regional or industry-specific opportunities for the development of ACL.

• Adair Leadership will, on occasion, seek advice from ACL Ambassadors, and there will be opportunities to participate in ongoing developments and come together to form core working groups in particular areas.

• ACL Ambassadors have the opportunity to act as an informal mentor to any new trainers within your area of interest.

ACL focusses on awareness of the role of the person in charge and the actions they take to lead – what you actually have to do. The genius of the system, which has stood the test of time, is that leaders can evaluate their own performance, practice the functions of leadership and get better at what is always a demanding role. Professor Adair summarises it in the following video:
