It has been announced that additional funding will be available as part of the Kickstart scheme to help businesses in the heart of the South West to recover from the impact of Coronavirus.

At the end of August funding of up to £3,000 will become available for specialist professional advice covering HR, finance, IT, digital and consultancy sectors. Equipment or technology that is needed to adapt existing technology or to adopt new technology to support business recovery can also be purchased with the grant.

This follows the recent government announcement of a £20 million national investment to support small businesses to get going again and recover from the effects of Coronavirus.

Who is eligible?
Small and medium sized businesses with under 250 employees in Devon, Somerset, Torbay and Plymouth, who are less than 25% owned by other companies, are eligible for the scheme.

What services can the grant be used for?
The funding can be used for a range of services which Perspective HR or one of our partners can offer, including:

• Planning a restructure
• Setting up staff incentive schemes
• Assessing and improving employee engagement
• Getting access to finance
• Cashflow forecasting
• IT support
• Digital marketing
• General strategic business planning

A quotation for the goods or services being purchased must be obtained as evidence before applying for the funding. The grants will be issued on a first come first served basis through the completion of a simple application form.
