People are your greatest asset and leading them is vital

21st October 2026

There is still one truth that can light the way through the gloom of a sluggish economy and ever more red tape.

Times may change, technology may change, but the fundamentals of a successful organisation remain the same – and top of the list is investment in leadership skills.

Growth, the ability to innovate and carry the team with you all comes down to this fascinating and complex world of leadership. And we will never know how many HR problems and employment disputes could have been avoided if the right leadership action had been taken straight away…..

The foundation for these skills is Action Centred Leadership®, based on the work of Professor John Adair (1934 – 2025), undoubtedly the world’s foremost leadership scholar of recent times.

Action Centred Leadership (ACL®) has been used for decades and millions of people have benefited from it. Trevor Vanstone of Perspective HR is an accredited trainer for Adair Leadership and has been delivering this course since 2010 and has trained roughly 500 leaders, managers and supervisors. It doesn’t matter what title these folks have – if they are in a position of influence at work then they need leadership skills.

It is also worth saying that in the age of generic online courses and box ticking, an ACL course is a high-quality face-to-face, in-the-room experience with like-minded leaders from across our wide sphere of clients and beyond.

Our next training course is on January 20th and 21st, 2027 at the magnificent Land Rover Experience in East Devon.

Not only do you explore the theory, but you practise having a go at it and leave with an action plan for your organisation. Sharing challenges and future actions with delegates from a range of industries is an added bonus too. It is high-quality training based on a rich, tried and trusted and highly practical theory.

If you’re in a leadership role yourself and wish to enhance or refresh your skills, or if you have leaders in your organisation who perhaps have been promoted because of their technical skills and you feel that they and their team could perform better, then it’s time to take the step up.

As Professor John Adair once said to Trevor, “it is morally wrong to put someone in a leadership role and not give them training.”
